Yumeiho® is a therapeutic method based on manual actions performed on the entire human body for maintaining or improving health; it includes about 100 manoeuvres performed on the entire patient’s body.
It is also known as the “method of correcting hip bones, massage and acupressure” or “Saionji Oriental Special Massage”, but the original name is “Yumeiho Therapy”.
The Yumeiho® therapy consists of the methodical application of a complex set of manual procedures and physical exercises meant to restore the functional balance of the human organism. Thus, a diverse range of disorders that may cause both acute and chronic diseases is eliminated or ameliorated.
Although Yumeiho® is a method designed to be mainly preventively applied, it is still called “therapy” due to the fact its main purpose is treating or reducing the causes of functional disorders which, in time, may result in chronic sufferings.
Also, the Yumeiho® therapy can be applied in order to prevent or to slow down the progress of already existing sufferings.
The manual therapeutic procedures, applied to prophylactic or corrective purposes within the Yumeiho therapy, consist of: osteoarticular manipulation techniques and passive myo-articular gym; point therapy procedures (virtually similar to those used in acupressure and reflexotherapy); special massage techniques and procedures; stretching elements (stretches, elongations); correction and balancing methods of posture, walking and rest positions; optimization exercises of the biomechanics of the locomotor system.
The physical exercises practiced within the Yumeiho® therapy consist of special gymnastic called YUMEIHO® TAISO, accompanied by breathing techniques, relaxation methods etc.
YuMeiHo® therapy is a holistic Japanese massage therapy used to treat many health conditions as well as to improve mental and physical health.
Backache, sciatica, scoliosis, slipped discs, joint problems and muscle tension are just some of the health issues that can be successfully treated with YuMeiHo®. The additional benefit of YuMeiHo® therapy is the feeling of total relaxation and rejuvenation, which most of my clients describe as getting taller, stronger, or straighter.
The main aim of the YuMeiHo® therapy is to correct the pelvic bones position and to set the vertebral column properly, and thus to mobilize the auto therapeutic forces of the organism and to reach the cause of pathological state.
YuMeiHo® is a therapeutic system consisting of several procedures (depending on a pathologic state). One treatment lasts for about 40 minutes during which a therapist uses around 100 different techniques. They include massage by kneading, compression and mobilization of all joints carried out in an original and pain-free manner (SEITAI – what could be understood as Japanese chiropractic).
By correcting the pelvic bones position and setting the vertebral column properly, during YuMeiHo® therapy the auto therapeutic forces of the organism are mobilised to reach the cause of pathological state.
Majority of the YuMeiHo® therapy clients have problems like:
YuMeiHo® therapy also helps patients with hypertension and hypotension.
In addition, as it was proven by research conducted in Japan, it can improve the general condition of patients with serious diseases, which modern medicine has difficulty curing, for example:
YuMeiHo® therapy gives effective support as well against obesity and low body weight.
First Session
During the YUMEIHO® treatment patient is fully clothed in comfortable and loose trousers or tights and T-shirt.
YUMEIHO® treatment is being performed on special matt placed on the floor.
During the first session experienced practitioner gathers all needed information about patients’ present condition and medical history.
After performing YuMeiHo® therapy accordingly to patients’ condition, the practitioner advice a YuMeiHo® therapy sessions plan.
Therapy plan
YuMeiHo® therapy contains usually between 10 and 30 sessions (when the condition is less serious it can be 3 to 9 sessions).
The best results can be achieved if sessions are being performed daily, however, the break between the sessions can last up to one week.
After completing therapy plan there is recommended to benefit from YuMeiHo® therapy on monthly basis as a relaxing and preventive treatment.
Individual therapy plan will always be discussed with the patient at the end of the first session.
